Bone Music by Christopher Rice
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This could well be the genesis of a new super hero. When she was young, both her and her mother were abducted by a couple who took pleasure in murdering people. They were a married couple of serial killers. Both Charlotte Rowe and her mother were abducted . Charlottes mother was murdered and her body buried after being burned in a furnace. Young Charlotte was raised by them until she was 7 years old. She never witnessed the killings, she only turned on the furnace while the couple did the murders.
After she was 7 years old she was rescued by police. Her father exploited her predicament by selling books and making movies. Later on she would get tired of it and move with her grandmother to Altamira outside of San Diego. When she got older she moved to Arizona. While her dad was making money off her experience she was followed by a guy named Jason. A fan, a nut job .
A mysterious man named Dylan acts as her therapist and gives her a new drug to try. Jason somehow finds where Charlotte is living. A confrontation takes place and Charlottes journey begins. Killing stalker and drug dealing bikers , Charlotte finds herself in the middle of a big mess . Returning to Altamira she hooks up with a former high school bully now turned cop, an attorney and Marty and old townie.
Together they keep ahead of the company and find another killer to stop. The drug Dylan gave her makes her super strong. What happens next?
